Focuses 2025 – Digital Storytelling

August 25 – 31, 2025

Creativity for Change

Prepare to have your perspectives expanded as algorithms become brushes, datasets turn into pigments, and artificial neurons weave compelling calls to action. Through digital storytelling, interactive installations, and thought-provoking pieces, witness how artists use their vision to drive meaningful dialogue and global impact. This is where the future of impactful storytelling begins.

Youth Empowerment

Step into a vibrant world where crayons meet creativity, and children’s dreams become visions of tomorrow. This exhibition serves as a portal into the unfiltered minds of young artists redefining what’s possible through their kaleidoscopic perspectives. From floating eco-cities to robot friendships, from talking trees to zero-waste worlds, each artwork is a bold manifesto for sustainable living. These aren’t mere drawings – they’re blueprints for change.

20th Anniversary of the UNESCO 2005 Convention

The UNESCO 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions is a landmark international agreement that recognizes the importance of cultural diversity in promoting human development, mutual understanding, and global peace. Adopted by UNESCO member states on October 20, 2005, the convention aims to safeguard and support cultural expressions from around the world, especially in the face of globalization.

In 2025, UNESCO will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the convention. This anniversary will feature events, discussions, and collaborations designed to reinforce the convention’s principles, showcasing initiatives and projects that highlight cultural diversity’s role in a dynamic, interconnected world. It will also emphasize how cultural expression intersects with technology, sustainability, and inclusivity – critical themes as we look toward the future.

The International Council for Film, Television and Audiovisual Communication (CICT-ICFT) and the Platform for Creativity & Innovation (PCI), will host a commemorative forum and cultural celebration for the UNESCO 2005 Convention on behalf of the ATSF Program at Expo 2025 Osaka on August 28, 2025.
