As part of the Art & Technology for a Sustainable Future (ATSF) Program presented at Expo 2025 Osaka, the exhibition “Light of Life: Imagination and Hope for the Future World” has attracted worldwide attention, emerging as a highlight of the World Expo. This unique showcase celebrates the creativity and forward-thinking of young artists from across the globe, using art as a medium to explore the value of life, ecological coexistence, and cultural dialogue.

The exhibition invited children and youth aged 4 to 18 from around the world to submit their work. From over 4,000 entries representing 20 countries, 300 outstanding pieces were selected through a rigorous review process. Each exhibited artwork reflects more than eight hours of devoted creative effort, capturing the young participants’ passion for artistic expression and their innovative embrace of technology.

One of the exhibition’s key highlights is the AI Art Section, where young creators from China have used artificial intelligence to fuse digital technology with artistic imagination. Through AI-assisted creation, they have transcended traditional boundaries of expression, giving rise to new

visual languages and creative possibilities. These dynamic works not only reveal the children’s unique creative voices but also mark a new chapter in art’s evolution through technology — leaving visitors both inspired and amazed.

Throughout the exhibition, international visitors have been captivated by the imagination and vitality of the young artists. From the futuristic vision of Sky City to the oceanic exploration of Flying Library, and from the surreal reflection in Face to the poetic dialogue between the ancient and the modern in Qingyun: Dreaming of Time and Space, each work offers a distinctive perspective on the world of tomorrow. Together, these artworks illuminate the powerful intersection between youth creativity and technological innovation.

The “Light of Life” Digital AI Youth Art Exhibition at Expo 2025 Osaka not only provides a global platform for young talents to showcase their creativity but also invites audiences to envision a hopeful and inclusive future through the eyes of the next generation.
